I've founded companies, helped take a startup public, raised hundreds of millions of dollars to help people living in poverty around the world, and led a nonprofit business from $2 million per year to over $35 million. And I appeared on Good Morning America, twice, with a bunch of goats.

As a rare progressive with a lifetime of both service and experience as an entrepreneur, I know I can be an important voice in Congress. We can’t keep electing the same old career politicians and expect different results.

We need more fight from Democrats and less corporate cash in their pockets. I will never accept a single dollar in corporate donations.

The Trump era has been traumatic in many ways. This election is an opportunity we may never see again to break the grip MAGA has around the neck of our democracy and take a historic leap forward as a country. This can be the beginning of a new era of justice and prosperity in America.

I’m running because I believe America can still do great things. The Case for Hope is real and if you send me to Congress, I promise to fight with everything I have to make that hope a reality.

Our Democracy

Protecting our democracy has to be our top priority. Get money out of politics, protect voting rights, end gerrymandering, fight disinformation, expand the Supreme Court, and enact statehood for DC and Puerto Rico.

Your Money

As an entrepreneur, I’m obsessed with how every dollar is spent and I will bring that focus to your tax dollars. Make the rich pay their fair share in taxes, confront corporate “greedflation,” and fully fund investigations into waste and corruption.

Our Future

Invest in America, not the wealthy. Fund the Green New Deal, Medicare for All, and education reform. Pass common-sense gun control, the expanded Child Tax Credit, and protect the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, women, and people of color.

MY MOM TAUGHT ME TO FIGHT.

I hate bullies. Always have.

Why? Maybe it was all those comic books I read as a kid. Or seeing my mom, Ione, struggle to survive against a parade of scammers, predatory lenders, and crushing medical debt.

Mom raised me as a single parent since I was 8 years old. She was a former Miss New Jersey, Pinochle player, and real estate agent. We had good times but it was a constant battle to keep the heat on in the house and food on the table. There were a lot of tears.

Then came cancer. Mom had no health insurance. She survived but it devastated her financially. She lived with that stress daily until the bank seized her house. She would have been homeless if I hadn't bought her a place to live. She died shortly thereafter in 2010.

Watching mom helped teach me empathy for people with less power facing these enormous forces; I also learned to fight. She didn't have an education or resources, but mom was a fighter.

It enraged me when the GOP came one vote from ripping Obamacare away from millions and then plunged our country into historic deficits to give tax breaks to wealthy donors. And now they’re trying to destroy the very concept of truth so they can continue to plunder America.
