Democracy
Protecting our democracy has to be our top priority. Get money out of politics, end gerrymandering, end Citizens United, and make DC and Puerto Rico states.
The Courts
Democrats need the guts to tackle court reform. It’s not a question of IF, it’s a matter of HOW we expand the Court, enact a code of ethics, and impeach corrupt judges.
Taxes and Economy
Money is at the heart of the GOP’s abuses. Make the rich pay their fair share and invest in America. To do this, we’ll need to elect Dems who are loyal to voters, not corporate donors.
Green New Deal
The GOP’s greed has the globe heading for calamity. We’ll make historic investments that turn the environmental tide and create massive numbers of new, green jobs.
Waste and Corruption
As an entrepreneur, I’m obsessed with how every dollar is spent. I’ll be the same with your money in DC. Recover rampant COVID relief fraud funds, expand IRS funding to investigate wealthy tax cheats, and prohibit Congress from holding individual stocks.
Immigration/ICE
We should celebrate immigrants, not demonize them. Abolish ICE and prosecute crimes they’ve committed, expand legal pathways to citizenship, and fund a vastly more efficient processing process. We will take care of Dreamers at long last.
LGBTQ+
I have been a lifelong ally and will always fight for LGBTQ+ rights. The trans community in particular is under terrible assault. I will push for anti-bullying legislation and expanded access to gender affirming care, among other protections.
Abortion & Women’s Rights
I have been a passionate activist for women’s rights for many years. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s the smart thing to do for our country. We will codify Roe v Wade in the first days of a Democratic trifecta.
Education
End teachers paying for students’ school supplies, slash college debt, and make public colleges and trade schools free. It’s an investment that will pay off.
Israel and Palestine
Not a single dollar more in support for Israel until the genocide against Palestine ends.
Universal Basic Income
Very promising pilot programs have illustrated a compelling truth: It’s much more cost-effective on many levels to help keep someone from falling into poverty and houselessness. Let’s test this on a federal basis.
Medicare for All
I believe my mom might still be alive if the US had Medicare for All in her lifetime. The high costs and poor outcomes of our current system are an anchor for our economy and driving millions into bankruptcy.
Disinformation
Propaganda outlets like Fox News bet that defamation victims will settle due to lengthy appeals. Create a “public interest enhancement” that expedites appeals and allows for punitive damages. Hate and lies should not be a business model.
AI/Data Centers
A moratorium on new data centers is needed until guardrails are in place. Data centers need to have a neutral impact on water supplies and energy costs, and AI models need to face public scrutiny to ensure they are safe. Worker rights will ultimately need to be protected
